Devlog Week 2
My (Colm's) first prototype was good and worked well enough, I was able to get my idea of an isometric platformer across like I wanted, for this week my question is "Can I make a platformer with backwards controls that can still be played well?" For this prototype I'm going to have the controls be almost backwards to how they typically would be with W, A, S, D and Space. For our project goals, our 2 experience goals are to get better and more efficient at creating our basic ideas to then be able to update each prototype to how we want it to be for our next idea we have, also to combine all our own ideas together either individually or eventually into the single game prototype/ concept. For our design goals, we want to get an art style chosen that we think will really suit our game and make it unique, also to get the level exactly how we want it and not that we have things we'd want to change about it and lastly to have our mechanics as close to perfect so the player can play our game exactly how we want them to, to allow them to get the most enjoyment out of it as they can.
