Vertical Slice Week 3
The 3rd room was made in a similar fashion but in this case, I added a large pillar to hopefully obstruct the final jump to the end. This is to make it a little more difficult. I used beams to decorate and poles for the pillar. I created a plant model and lamp model to give the rooms a little more atmosphere. I made textures for the platforms which are brick and the walls/floor which are wood.
I added in the 3rd room in another new scene and added box colliders to objects that need them and scattered collectibles around the room for the player to walk into and collect, then I brought in Kim's textures, plant and lamp, I placed them in the 3 different rooms in various places to add a bit better of an aesthetic, the brick texture I added to the platforms that the player would jump from and to, as a way to make them stand out. The wooden texture with grass I added to the walls and the same texture but darker and without the grass I added to the floor as it would be stepped on as opposes to the walls which would be mostly untouched and then lastly I added a start menu screen, and end menu screen and a tip where it gave the buttons for resetting a level if something goes wrong. That was the 3 rooms done and decorated and able to be played.
